The Alliance recommends sending in your application for Absentee Ballot ASAP and mailing your Absentee Ballot well before Nov 6.
If you are already registered to vote in Meredith, but need an absentee ballot for the Nov. 6 general election:
- 1) Fill out your name and Meredith address at the top.
- 2) Fill out question 1 in section A and make sure you give dates that include Nov. 6 -- e.g. "will be away on business (or vacation) from Nov. 1 thru Nov. 10".
- 3) Fill in question 2 if you will be away on vacation, or question 3 if you will be away at school.
- 4) Fill out section F on page 2.
- 5) Sign and date at the bottom of page 2.
- 6) Mail or hand-deliver to the Board of Elections: 3 Gallant Avenue, Delhi , NY 13753
- 7) The Board will mail you an absentee ballot when they become available after Oct. 15.
The deadline for mailing the application to the Board is Oct. 30, but if you wait until then, it will probably be TOO LATE, since the deadline for mailing your ballot back to the Board is Nov. 5.
Nov. 5 is the last date to MAIL Absentee Ballot (must be received by Nov. 13).
